  • $7 million reconstruction project planned for West Smith

    The city of Medina is planning a reconstruction project to the West Smith area that will run approximately $7 million. Renovation of the area will start at Lake Road and expand as much as 400 feet past State road, going towards the Square.

  • Lemonberry Frozen Yogurt opens in Medina

    A new treat introduced itself to Medina recently. Lemonberry Frozen Yogurt, a hands-on, do-it-yourself type of dessert shop that opened on the Medina Square last month, lets customers create their own sweet treats. Customers first select their favorite flavors of yogurt and then cover the frozen treat with any number of fun and tantalizing toppings.

  • Medina library hosts traveling President Lincoln exhibition

    Lincoln: The Constitution and the Civil War opened Friday, March 2 at the Medina County District Library. The traveling exhibition will run at the downtown branch through April 13.

  • Medina High School to host Medina Midwest Showcase

    Seventeen middle and high school show choirs will gather at the Medina High School on February 18 for the Medina Midwest Showcase.

  • A Cupcake a Day opens in Medina

    You have heard that an apple a day keeps the doctor away, but what will a cupcake a day do? On January 7, it probably made a whole lot of people smile as the ribbon was cut away and A Cupcake a Day opened its doors to the public. Residents of Medina can now enjoy a delicious cupcake or two every day. In fact, why not just buy a dozen? The mini-dessert boutique was the dream of Medina resident, Shawna Rollheiser and is located on West Liberty Street, just off of the square.

  • Celebrate a Candy Cane Christmas at Spring Mist Farms

    Spring Mist Farms, located just north of Medina, is once again celebrating the Christmas season with its annual Candy Cane Christmas. This will be the 8th year for the seasonal event, which includes a large variety of festive activities for good little girls and boys. Kids will love the petting zoo, which includes the traditional sheep, goats, cattle, horses and more. For a special surprise, the farm also has llamas, chinchillas, Alpacas, elk, Emus, and even reindeer! Other festive and fun activities include ring toss, train sets, a snowman melt, a bean bag toss, and letters to Santa. You can even enjoy a special Christmas scavenger hunt in the Christmas village.
